Customer called complaining of noises in the attic. She said she believed it was squirrels in the attic.
Technicians arrived, did a top to bottom inspection on the outside of the home, found no evidence of squirrels entering the home. However, as we always do, when trying to put all the pieces of the "crime scene" puzzle together, they inspected the attic. The noises she was hearing were bats in the attic. This picture shows one of many signs bats will leave in an attic. A lot of people store their Christmas decorations in the attic and will be getting them down in just a few weeks. If you notice something that may look like this on top of your boxes in the attic, you probably have bats in the attic, too. Be careful when opening those boxes. Do not get bit by a bat that may have decided to snuggle in for the winter.
